Heyyyy!

It's been too long, I know, and I apologize. I have been meaning to squeeze in a post( or many), but Lord knows I have been a crazy busy woman lately.
Trying to find time for my own pleasure, leisure or just sanity has been nearly
impossible. I'm not complaining though. Things have been really great.
For those of you who read Amanda's journal, you already know that she and Colette were here in Atlanta and we had a wonderful time. Amanda was here Sunday- Friday; Colette Thursday- Sunday. Amanda had to work the weekend,
which was a bummer, but allowed Colette and I to spend a little time together,
and become friends with one another. We spent a little time together at the Nationals, but it was constrained to contest needs and attention of mine, while she was quite busy working her hair and makeover magic on many competitors.
So this was so cool to be in a relaxed environment, with no worries other than
when and what to eat and train. We squeezed in some Chiropractic Care and body work for her also. It made me really happy to offer some help where she
was feeling the affects of her super-human-woman-like training.
We went out for sushi Saturday night before she headed back to NY, and I flew to Ft. Myers.
We really had a great time, and shared some excellent conversation about life
and it's many meanings. Of course we tried to cause an ear-burning a time or two for Amanda . ;)
I am looking forward to us going to New York for a visit. That will definately
have to be a time where we are NOT dieting, ya know what I mean?
Best food is in NYC.
So my trip to Ft Myers was excellent of course, but as always, too darn short in time. My folks were there also, staying with my sister Chris and her husband
Mike at their beach house. My sister Diane drove over from West Palm Beach, directly across the state to Ft. M.
My mom's 76th birthday was March 21st so that was so nice for us all to be there to celebrate. It was the first time for my parents and Amanda to meet.
They loved her immediately! (How could they not?)
And she mutually was taken to them. My sisters have spent quite a bit of time with her already, so that's very familiar for everyone. There's a peace and comfort between us all that is quite amazing.
I love it! Michele couldn't be there though. She is in Oklahoma City. We missed her so much. She might go to Ft Myers at the end of April to stay with Chris at the same time I will be there to move Amanda up to Georgia after her last day of school. We want Michele to visit us in Atlanta soon as well.
Anyway, I am back in Georgia, in full effect; working, training, preparing for our "homecoming" in May, getting the house together(still)....

There's a natural bodybuilding show this weekend here in Marietta. SNBF is the organization. I met superb guy, Terrence ("Tee"), who is entering.
He approached me to congratulate me on the Nats., and asked for a bit of help with his posing since it is his first contest. He had been following a diet out of a magazine, so you can imagine it was a little off track, since it wasn't a true precontest diet. So I just couldn't let this first timer go into this thing blindfolded. We are so excited about his progress! What an incredible athlete, but not just that, a wonderful spouse and father of 3. He's a firefighter here in town. He is going to shine for sure! Amanda and Colette met him while they were here. You should have seen the three of us swarming around this newbie;
a triple team posing session! It was awesome. He comes over so he can get on
the webcam for Amanda to check his shape. So cute.
I think he's already been bitten by "the bug", and hasn't even stepped on stage yet. He's 34 years old. An athlete, and quite a natural one!
With a brain and a heart to boot!
What an incredible love and support by Sharon, his other half. She is on the ball! They do so well together, with three beautiful children.

The video clips of me adjusting Rick Deleo are great, aren't they?
He's a very good friend, and we grab a workout together at times, when it
is possible. Such an amazing person. I love his son Mike, too. He loves to get
his adjustments as well. He's in high school, on the track team right now, and LOVES to go to the gym! He's so cute....health conscious and always asking for
eating tips. I think Rick was feeling like I created a monster at one point when
Mike decided to primarily eat organic! Ha ha.
He has another son Chris, but I don't see him as often. His wife Cheryl is a sweetie too.

Well, I will be back soon to let you know how the competition fairs this weekend! It should be lots of fun. I just wish Amanda could be here for it. Ugh.
Oh well, soon enough. XO

Be safe and be blessed!

Hugs for all,

Mimi
