Long time no write! Yes it has been, but I am going to make sure I change this. I have been so busy with work....it has been a wonderful year! And the house is coming along beautifully; there's always something to do with it, either outside or in. Training has been pretty consistent, so no complaints there, except I have to squeeze it in on some days when the schedule is full. Of course spending time with Amanda as much as possible is always on the top of my list! We have so much fun together, whether we are just chillin', training, shopping or visiting with friends. We love to go to this local sports bar called "Mazzy's", where we eat lots of great food after training, or go to catch a game on the weekend, and yes..eat! They have excellent food, with a great atmosphere.
In case you 're wondering, I like to watch the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat(b/c D. Wade is awesome), various football teams, and the Braves for baseball.
You could say we are regulars there, and are treated very nicely!
Anyway, having Amanda in my life has been such a blessing. She is the most caring person I have ever known. On the flip side of that, she appreciates everything, big and small. So many simple things in life can go unnoticed between two people in a relationship. We definately cherish all we have, and always try to give to one another. Sure makes life wonderful!
We went to Michigan for Thanksgiving to spend the holiday weekend with my (her new) family.
Christmas will be spent here in Georgia with her mom. I am very happy to do this! Denise and I have a great time with each other--always! She is an incredible lady, with a heart of gold! I know where her daughter gets it. I would do anything for her, just as I would for my blood relatives. We should have a fantastic holiday together. I want to take us to The Waverly for brunch. It is the most incredible brunch buffet in Atlanta. Am I talking about food again?
That would be on Christmas Eve. Maybe we'll cook just a little bit for Christmas Day.
She lives about 25-30 minutes from us. She has an incredible house also. Let's just say Florida real estate is outrageous, so you can imagine what she owns now! Smart move Mom! Besides she's close to her girls now! Makes all of us so happy.
Can you believe this year is coming to an end? Seems like it just sped passed us since about July! It has been a year filled with lots of events for us, some bringing emotional highs and then some lows. Amanda graduating from PTA School, moving and taking the Georgia Board; her mom moving here; my niece Breanna married her long time sweetheart Mike; Beau passing away...but remains right here with me; Family matters, mattering.
All I can say is "thank God for His grace! Amen". I seriously don't know how people get through life without any faith or belief in a higher power. Personally, my spiritual life is dependant on Jesus Christ as my Savior. My human life has been saved more times than I can count, beginning shortly after birth, and continues on every day I wake up breathing.
I like to say I am a spirit having a human experience. And Beau was a spirit having a human experience, while trapped in a dog's body! Lol.
Ok, time to make some dinner. Amanda just got home from coaching the girls, so we're both pretty hungry!
Take care and be safe, and smile at a stranger today! Or help an elderly person.
Love,
Mimi
